Cygon's Application for #thealliance

Hey there, I'm Joe. I found Steem when I was doing some research into uses for blockchain tech and said, "You know what would be awesome? A social media site that actually rewarded people for the content they create and the interactions they have on the platform." A quick Google search later and I was here.

How did you find out about #thealliance?

Pretty randomly actually. I was looking at the recent votes on a bidbot and this post caught my eye. Really just a bit of serendipity, I guess it was meant for me to find.

Why do I want to be in #thealliance?

I started on Steem about two months ago. I love the platform and the vision behind it and what it could mean for changing the way we use social media and the internet. Recently I've been looking to engage in more of the communities both to seek out interesting writers and to hopefully get my own work in front of more people. I do have to say, none of the iterations of steem, (esteem, steemit, busy) make searching for new content enjoyable, I've found the various groups that for formed around Steem and in discord chats to be invaluable in this regard.

What qualities do you have that would make me a valued member of the family?

A lot, I hope. My personal idol is Leonardo DaVinci, a man who was a master of not one, but many fields. While I can only dream to approach the breadth of his ability, I do strive to live a full and diverse life. I have a wide array of passions, technology, science, relationships, psychology, politics, fitness, travel, music, and cooking that I believe I have gained quite a bit of knowledge and talent in and I would love to share that with an open and engaged community. I am also great at working with others to develop and refine their ideas. I hope I can help support others in creating quality content on the platform as well. What's most important to me is that I can contribute to something that will actually make a difference both in the actual content of this platform, and changing how we share knowledge and ideas on social media as a whole. I'm thankful that I get to lead a really amazing life, I hope I get a chance to share that with you guys and push all of us towards fulfilling our goals.
