RE: D Tube Family 777 Request

in #thealliance7 years ago
I have no idea what this "777" project is, nor why people think I am a part of it.
HOWEVER, I am a proud member of TheAlliance and will be happy to record something for that fabulous group, regardless of what project is inspiring it. I will DM something to you.

Sort:

It's a curation project I nominated you for. I shouted out about 3 or 4 dozen that I see commenting regularly on other people's posts and thought you may be a fit. By no means mandatory and I can remove you from the list if you like. I do appreciate your support of our allies :D

Well, if it is a curation project of some sort, that's okay, I suppose. Had never heard of it until I was put on the list a few days ago, and still haven't found a single complete and definitive post about it anywhere.

No, I haven't because it's on Dtube, which seldom plays. Your two-minute "Carol of the Bells" video took about one-and-a-half hours to buffer and stream the other day, and the video you linked in your comment (above) is loading much slower than "Carol of the Bells" did, so it must be considerably longer than two-minutes. I aborted it after about 15 minutes of waiting and not even one-second of the video had played yet. As usual, Dtube is vritually useless.

May be you can try watching dtube videos using busy.org website or even Partiko app, it usually runs Smoother there from my angle most times :)

I've tried it on eSteem and mobile-browser, but don't think I've tried it on Partiko yet. I've tried it on four different browsers on my laptop from two different hi-speed, broadband Internet connections, and know quite a few others who've had similar experiences, so something  is lacking with Dtube's streaming service. Vevo, Vimeo, and YouTube all stream seamlessly; it is a shame Dtube can't do whatever the other services are doing. Anyway, I will give Partiko a try next — thank you for that suggestion!

Dtubes do embed play from the steempeak site now like youtubes!

That did, indeed, run a bit better! Not a perfect stream, but acceptable! Thank you, @emjoe
