The Dairy Game: Attending my friend's father birthday celebration [19/01/2026]

Good day steemians trust we are all doing great, so today I just want to share how my Monday went with this great steemians family,as we all know Mondays is always a busy and hectic day because it's a start of the new week. Without much hesitation let's move right to it.

On Monday I woke up feeling very lazy, like I didn't want to do anything yet or start the day yet but I had to drag myself out of the bed because it's working days and a new week for that matter,so I quickly got to do my business in the bathroom I didn't feel like eating I was feeling all bloated so I just head to work straight away. On getting to school the assembly was conducted, then the teaching sessions begin, all these while I was still feeling bloated,grumpy and all but then while I was marking some of the pupils books I saw what she wrote and that lifted my spirit. I was really glad she saw me that way instantly all the stress, bloating and grumpiness just vanished. I was greatful because that remark alone make my day.

After some time my friend called to inform me that we had class later that day the, it was actually two classes the first one by ten in the morning and the second by twelve. I just quickly engaged my pupils and left for classes. Before we could get to the first class it was late and the lecturer got angry and left. We had experience the same thing with the second lecturer before so we just used that opportunity to go meet her on time. We had to take a stroll down to the next class called her to inform her we were there already. While waiting for the woman we just chatted on random things before she came and the class commenced.

Around two or some minutes to two the lectures ended and we left,on the way back home that was when my friend told me of her dad's birthday celebration. I was shocked but I still wished him birthday blessings I didn't even think about going since I still had unfinished work with my pupils at work I just quickly got to the school were I work and try to finish some undone stuff then came her call again she asked if I'd like to come for the party, I wanted to give excuses but didn't have any so I obliged I told her to pick me up immediately we're closed. By 3pm. We closed and she went to pick the cake then stopped by to pick me up I was stressed by now but I wanted to be there since her mum was expecting me already I couldn't say no, so we got on and left for her home not really far but a neighboring community.

When we arrived they other family members were already dancing and enjoying themselves so we joined in soon we prayed for the birthday celebrant the cake was cut and shared, we went out to take pictures,food was brought and I ate to my feel. It's started getting dark the clouds had changed as if the rain wanted to fall so we had to excuse ourselves to go back since I didn't want to sleep over because of work the next day. But before leaving my friend dished another food for take home and gave me some cake for people at home I greeted her parents and set to leave.

After some times we got back to school environment and I went back to my house, it later rained that day so I just used the opportunity to get a good sleep. By the time I got up I was hungry so I just warmed up the food she packed for me which was jello rice and ate after that I just went back to bed.
