Greetings to all my fellow Steemians and friends. It's another beautiful day to share how my day went, the engagements and the success of the day.
As a teacher and Chaplain, once school resumes my work load increases. Apart from going to teach and be involved in other spiritual growth of the school, I am fully responsible for running the home in the morning alongside my wife so that our son will go to school early.
The highlights of my activities will be detailed ranges from school runs, to classes, coming back home and rising to take responsibility on behalf of our organization to avoid failure in our program and then making my wife happy with her cravings. Let's dive into my day in three phases with respect to their time. Ever since I started writing on the steemit community, I have been taking serious notions of the events as I will be reporting.
One of the benefits of being a Steemian is learning to keep record of events and the actual time it took place.
MORNING/AFTERNOON AT SCHOOL
The day must always begin with morning devotion in our home, using
The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Family Altar devotional daily guide. The topic for 13th January was THE “ONE THING” YOU LACK. The moral lessons from the devotion: Having all without eternal life is as good as having nothing. Working on our weaknesses to please God. If you will follow Christ, you must deny yourself. We started the prayer a bit late, as against the normal 5am to 5:15am, when it was about 6am we woke up and rushed over it for school runs.I finished bathing my son and also prepared myself, it was already 7am. What will I do? I had to carry his food to meet up with the school bus. Days we miss the school bus, means I have to drop him before going to my place of assignment.

Pictorials of going to school from the house and being in Assembly conducted by a pupil
We stepped out, and luckily we didn't miss the bus, the driver took us to the main school location before returning him to their section, in the churchyard. By 7:45am I was in the school and I was part of the assembly which ended at 8:07am, just 2 minutes later than the normal time that classes were supposed to commence.

Classes and Practicals
I have 6 classes to teach computer studies, so based on the timetable, I was free to start with primary three (3) before others as teachers will create time for me. In Primary 3, our topic was on learning how to set up a computer system for it to function.
The objective of the lesson is that pupils at the end of the class should be able to identify cables and how to connect them to their fittings. They should be able to differentiate between power cable, data and signal cable, connecting the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speaker cables to the system unit (CPU).
After the theoretical aspect of the lesson, I took them to the computer lab in batches to learn the setup as there was no power supply that early hours. I showed them how to link and connect cables from one end to another. The next lesson will help them to know how to connect parts of the computer system. I entered Primary 6, 4 and Transition classes to sum up the day at school until the next day. I returned to my office after the classes to rest my head while waiting for the bell to go. The sun was very severe so getting home i had to sleep after lunch for about 3 hours
EVENING
Later in the evening the Chairman of YOWICCN (Christian Council of Nigeria) Akwa Ibom State Chapter which i am the Assistant Secretary to this wing, called me to do all I could and submit a letter to The African Church, Eniong Offot in Uyo requesting for venue to host our Prayer Summit and Love Feast holding on 14 February, 2026. Already time is against us as we aim of expanding the scope of the event to reaching out to the 31 local government areas in Akwa Ibom.

At the Computer Center to Type and Print a Letter
The call came to me as he could not reach the secretary of the organization. I stepped up and ensured that the letter was printed, signed for the secretary from the permission of the chairman. Between 6:09pm and 6:56pm, the letter was typed, printed.
I left the computer center and went home to make some calls to know the location of the church and to find out who is in charge there. All of these yielded positive results and I went at about 7:21pm, and good enough, they were in evening service for their 21 days of prayer and fasting. I did not only deliver the letter and joined the prayers and only left them after about an hour.![]() | ![]() |

Branched Supermarket for Bread
On my way home I remembered a night ago my wife made me go out the street by 10pm looking for bread, and I had to branch to a supermarket along Nwaniba Road to get her better bread. She was glad I did.
SUMMARY OF MY DAY
As we wake up everyday we have to be ready to work and work. It is only a lazy person that will have a day of no engagements. For me it was engaging from house to school, and ensuring I covered up for the secretary of YOWICCN and we delivered our letter.
LESSON OF THE DAY
Always be ready for your day and the responsibilities it brings.
