The Diary Game: Remarkable Sunday service as we celebrate with August birthday celebrants

Hello everyone in the Steemit family, I welcome you all to my another episode of the diary game with yours truly @inyangibom. Today’s Sunday service was one I won’t forget in a hurry. The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and worship as we celebrated not just God’s faithfulness, but also our August birthday celebrants.

From the moment I stepped into church, you could feel the energy. The choir was on fire, the ushers were smiling, and the church was beautifully decorated with balloons and August birthday banners. It felt like a mini thanksgiving service inside our regular service.

We started with praise and worship, and honestly, the presence of God was tangible. Every song felt like it was going straight to heaven. When we sang “Great Are You Lord,” I saw people with tears of gratitude. August has been a month of testimonies, and many people had reasons to thank God. The pastor’s message was centered on "The Lord Who Numbers Our Days" from Psalm 90:12. He reminded us that life itself is a gift, and every new year we add is by God’s mercy. That really hit home for the birthday celebrants.

The highlight of the service was the birthday celebration. All August celebrants were called out to the front. We had about 12 of them — from children to elders. Each person shared a short testimony of what God did for them this past year. Some talked about new jobs, healing, academic success, marriage, and even safe delivery of babies. Others just said “I’m alive and that’s enough.”

The church prayed over them, anointed them, and presented gifts. There were cakes, Bibles, and gift vouchers. When we sang the birthday song together and cut the big church cake, the joy was overflowing. To all our August celebrants, we love you and we pray that the new age brings more favor, open doors, and divine protection. May God perfect all that concerns you.
