From a Peanut-Sized Lump to the Operating Table

Getting treatment from a public hospital is not for the weak. I've been here since 9am but as I write this post, is almost 4pm and I'm so hungry. I can't risk standing up from my chair because I'm scared that if I go to eat, there is a possibility they might call my name in my absence and once i missed today, I'll have to wait till next week Friday to start the whole process all over.

Well, this year have been like a roller coaster regarding my health. It started as a sprain that happened 2 years ago. I massaged it with our local hot balm and it went but a particular spot was still swollen. I didn't really bother since it was no longer paining me and I could now walk well.

Fast forward to early this year, the ghost of my past that I left untreated and ignored, came to haunt me. I never believed something as small as a peanut size will turn out to be my worse nightmare this year.

Is been a month, I've been coming to and fro from the hospital. This is actually the scanned report. Imagine the fear, when I first saw "breast scan" on the report. I was like, when did I start growing breast on my legs?? I was actually curious to read to the ending, to know what this people had written here. As you can see, it was a mistake on the part of the typist. I'm guessing that they have had so many women on their scanners, they have forgotten to change the "study".

Unfortunately, I don't understand shit about what is written here in there report. The only thing that made sense in my head was when the doctor said there was "pus" in my leg. The rest were all sounding like jargons in my ears.

Thank God for the public holidays, I took advantage of it to fix my legs. The operation wasn't that serious. It was just a little tear on the affected region to remove whatever is inside. If I knew it was this easy, I might have probably gone to one of these street pharmacy to run the procedure rather than delaying me for a month plus.

I'm supposed to come back on Friday for the redressing of my wound and to see the doctor. At least, to examine the progress thus far. For now, I am staying off shoes and on antibiotics to kill whatever is the cause.

When I see the picture of the waiting area, I believe you right away.

I hope it’s just one treatment and that everything heals up well.
