Attachment theory
There are three types of attachment depending on the attachment theory: Safe, avoidant and anxious-unstable attachment. Children with secure attachment tend to be happy and self-confident individuals.

According to Bowlby, the child, who sees love and trust in his early relationships, accepts himself as a worthy and reliable person. If the requirements of attachment and love seeing are not met, it becomes a skeptic and trustworthy person.
Researchers have argued that parent-child relationships are effective in their long-term child relationships. Relationships in adulthood are a reflection of childhood relationships. While adults who are securely attached do not have difficulty in approaching others, adults who are avoided approach with suspicion and do not want to be connected because they are afraid of being hurt.

Adults who are anxious and unstable can never be sure that they are loved and expect excessive interest. Good news for people who have not been able to connect safely in their childhood; a safe, loving and long-lasting relationship can change the way they connect by creating a safe model that is not offered to children as a child.
