Valentine scrolls through the forum, his coffee gone cold.
What started as quiet learning has turned into a flood of opinions.
Charts. Theories. Predictions.
Everyone has a truth.
Everyone sounds certain.
He clicks through thread after thread —
one says buy, one says wait, another run.
Each voice blends into a blur of conviction.
The network that once gave him clarity now hums with static.
“Illustrations created with AI. Story written and produced for Steemit Originals.”
Noise
He opens his own watchlist —
the screen feels foreign, like it belongs to someone else.
He hesitates before every move, second-guessing the plan.
“Maybe they know better.”
The thought stings.
He scrolls again, searching for confirmation,
but finds only contradiction.
For the first time in weeks, he feels lost —
not in the market, but in the noise.
The Quiet Return
He closes the browser.
Silence returns — sharp, almost painful.
Then, slowly, it settles.
Valentine reopens his notebook,
flips to a clean page, and writes:
“Too many echoes. Not enough voice.”
He stares at the sentence, then underlines it twice.
He smiles faintly — the sound of quiet feels like home again.
And this time, the only voice he hears — is his own.
