Steemit Engagement Challenge S4-W1 | My view on Cyber Bullying - by @fantvwiki

We start from the word bullying, simply bullying is an act done by a person or group of people. generally, those who do this are those who are stronger and are done deliberately to oppress and hurt someone, this action is done continuously. this despicable act aims to bring a sense of satisfaction to the abuser, as a form of dominating and controlling others and tending to disrespect others.

As the development of the era shifted to the era of technology as it is today, the way of socializing and communicating with people has changed. social media is becoming a tool for communication across cities and even countries, which makes it easier for a person to meet and make friends with anyone, whether from one city or any country. the development of communication and friendship is shifting towards Cyber, Cyber itself is something related to computer systems and Information Technology. and this situation opens a new gate for users who have malicious intent, to commit crimes in the Cyber field.

This is where the term Cyber Bullying comes in.

In a simple view, Cyber bullying is an act in which a person either children, adolescents, or adults experience technological and information crime. forms of technology and information crime can be insults, intimidation, data theft, and also something that humiliates someone with a specific purpose. the transmission tool can be a phone, social networking applications, or other technological media.

Regarding this matter, Cyber bullying is a crime that can have a bad impact on the victim of the act, and in most developed countries this action can be legal and in prison according to the rules in a country. the difficulty is that this crime can be committed across countries, and certainly has obstacles in its resolution.

In some countries, cases of Cyber bullying have occurred, and even victims who experience it get a situation that is not expected. generally, the victims will experience feelings of anxiety, anxiety, and depression to commit suicide attempts. although cyberbullying involves very little physical contact, it has a devastating impact on victims.

So far I have not experienced Cyber bullying, and have always been wary of anything that might happen. understanding and knowledge to continue to understand and deal with all these actions, is something that I may have to prepare from now on.

As far back as I've been on the Steemit platform for about a year, I still feel the comfort of enjoying it. everything that led to Cyberbullying was invisible and gave birth to a sense of security that I felt. But sometimes in engagement contests that have entered the fourth season, some people invite you to comment on their posts. this is sometimes like a debt we have to pay, and sometimes it feels not so comfortable.

Positive comments should come naturally, without you having to force them. they or users know how to get more value through their comments, so keep commenting relevant and let the natural comments come your way. don't let the posts you visit feel subtly intimidated, and this can also lead to discomfort.

In essence, we must increase our understanding of cyberbullying, which may attack us and those closest to us. all forms of evil must be opposed to action, and never be silent about it. silence means you are ready to be bullied and humiliated, but by speaking out you can at least resist and stop the action.

For those of you who have people nearby who always use technology in their daily lives, provide education for them to want to say and talk when Cyberbullying comes to them. collective action to resist is the best action to take.

For those who have experienced it or have just experienced it, we must strengthen and provide input and advice as a reinforcement for the victims of these crimes. make sure that they are not alone, this can be faced and opposed together and believe that all can be overcome.

For some countries that have clear laws about cyberbullying perpetrators, reporting them to the authorities is the best solution. this applies in our country Indonesia because we have the foundation and regulations regarding crime. the punishable basis is contained in Law No. 11 of 2008 on information and Electronic Transactions (ITE Law) which can be sentenced to 6 years in prison and a maximum fine of 1 billion rupiahs.
