#ThoughtfulDailyPost meet #Innerblocks!

zekethoughts.jpg

I try and share a positive constructive thought once a week rather then once a day so I don't get too preachy. I pimp that post on #theramble every week because of the fun in that weekly Thursday Pimp Your Post Thursday #PYPT and the extra Shade Tokens rewarded by @shadowspub.

I am also a proud member of the #innerblocks as a constructive, active and progressive movement on STEEM. They are hosting a challenge with rewards everyone should check out and participate. https://steemit.com/dtube/@innerblocks/pjhe0e5744d#@innerblocks/pxq3gg

This one struck me as a great Inner Block personally. When I am not paying attention, thoughts echo around in my brain constantly and infinitely. I think it is because I am inherently lazy and my habits have all been developed to make sure I am doing and solving and progressing. Otherwise, I would be sitting instead of standing, and figuring out how I could lie down instead of sitting.

Knowing my brain is constantly cycling experiences, lessons, and external stimuli, I have started to listen. Listening in, there is a bunch of not necessarily negative thoughts, but definitely not constructive ones. Often, they are issues I am dealing with and my brain seems to want to go over the problem repeatedly.

Focusing on problems leads to frustration and stress, I consciously tap into the diatribe, stop thinking about the negative & problems, and turn it to positive, fun and solution-based thoughts. It is amazing how it improves my generally positive mood even more and makes my head a better place to be.

My #innerblock is to stay positive and make my head a good place to be. I spend most of my time in there and have taken to redecorating it with bright colours, awesome music, and even beer! I would suggest you give it a try as well!

What is one of your Innerblocks?

Sort:

Excellent point and much appreciate the thoughtful positivity, @zekepickleman! I'd have to say finding the silver lining in most situations is one of my innerblocks. I also try to keep the tunes in my brain upbeat, but I redecorate with restful colors, and some shots of vodka to keep my beer company. 😂 🍻 🥂

Oh, and....

mindful here comes a thought.gif

Sounds like you have a strong inner block. Fuel for growth too!

Thought-provoking, @zekepickleman. I like that first meme. Writing is one of the ways I purge the bad stuff from my head. Cooking is a way of filling it with good stuff.

Thanks for giving me a different perspective on that.

What a great compliment from one of my favourites!

Fantastic approach for sure. Writing would be a great way of living in your head and actively harnessing your thoughts. Then cooking as a way of being creative and constructive to drown out any negative thoughts.

I wish I could claim it was my original thought. Just passing it on but I love the conversation here with people pausing to make their head a good place to be.

It's very inspiring sir zekepickleman, well done!

Oh, awesome, Zeke!

I agree that I don't like to sound preachy, but, I do like to remain positive! I am in favor of kindness when and where you can. It has a way of circling back to you.

Great write and yes!!! You are uber positive and it shows!

I agree! It's contagious! Let's spread those seeds of positivity!

I don't think you're alone with the innerblocks of thoughts. I am forever battling with my own thoughts of not being good enough and it's only when I allow myself to believe in myself then I get a lot of shit done and feel good again.

Like you say, the trick is to stop the diatribe from happening, then we can achieve greatness 💪

It is so simple. Tough to be consistent but that is just time and forming habits. But to pause any time, think of thecdiatribe and change the course like a lucid dream is easy. Worth it to as you know.

Yes creating a habit of something good is where it's at, just got to keep training the brain hey

@zekepickleman,

I think there are some people more inclined towards inner peace than others.

Recently, I'd been reading how some were meditating their way to serenity. As I was feeling disstressed about certain individuals' opinions about how best to not-organize the blockchain, I decided to give it a go.

Eyes closed. Deep breathes. Clear the mind.

More deep breathes.

Despite my best efforts at mindlessness, a vague image kept appearing. So, instead of trying to block it, I decided to let it form.

Slowly, it began to take shape. At first, it was not apparent what I was looking at. But, as the details trickled in, it became a recognizable object:

A guillotine.

This did not strike me as being particularly serene so I figured I'd failed the task. But, surprisingly, as I started to imagine certain individuals taking their rightful places on the bench ... I did actually feel "much better."

Does that count?

Quill

Hell yah quillington!

Guillotines can signify an end and a beginning. Chopping the heads off the problems is a way of solving them. We can’t change people initially but we can chop them out of our heads.

This is great! I loved that picture, I think that's what you would call it, where it says "You spend most of your life inside your head. Make it a nice one." It's like our own personal turtle shell...make it full of love and decorate it with bright colors!

I will drink to that! !BEER

Sure going to remember this one , it’s so true !
Life catches up to us and this blog reminded me to do a #innerblocks today

Very Zen, Zeke :) Those are interesting initiatives. I would like to not forget to check them when I get back home.

Happy Thursday!
