My way of seeing the world is to listen and be respectful to what others say, but do your own research and form your own thoughts on the matter. Never hesitate to make your position known, but don't press your will onto others. I grew up with the values of the Golden Rule, thus my perspective of life is to treat others as I would like to be treated. Simple lessons I would like to instill to my children.

P.S., I still can't give fluoride water to my kiddo even though the pediatrician recommends it.
