When someone with many hobbies finds themselves on the shore of a lake—for example, a fisherman, a hunter, a photographer, and a bit of an artist—it's difficult to determine the direction of their thoughts, and some of those thoughts, related to one or more of their hobbies, need to be somehow banished.
Yes, thoughts can conflict with each other. For example, thinking about fishing, I might not notice the beauty of the lake, or thinking about fried game, I might completely forget about fishing, and I usually completely forget about drawing all of this.
