Adventures in thrifting income from the pay per pound Goodwill - Day 12.
Slim pickins' at the ole Outlet today. I managed to salvage the day with a quite unusual purchase.
What's inside those egg cartons?
Today is March 29th and it is day 12. Let's see what I found this Thursday.
Goodwill Outlet Income Experiment: Day 12
I am only keeping the Washington Quarters book. It is the 2010-2015 book for the National Parks. Now this isn't for me, but my wife likes the different quarters. So I will give this to her.
Nothing much here. A couple remote controls, two trimming heads for a Norelco electric shaver, and a disc for Microsoft Home and Student 2010. Now That software might be great, but this is missing the product key - it has been torn off. That really hurts the value.
A found a pair of vintage bowling shoes. They need a bit of work though and I don't have time today. I will fix them up and list them this weekend.
I found this Sony Dream Machine Alarm Radio. They sell for around $30, so there is profit to be made here.
GOLF BALLS!
These are mainly vintage golf balls that have special logos on them. Golf Courses, Resorts, Country Clubs, Sports Teams & Advertising can be found here. And there are a HUGE amount of balls. Over 200.
I talked to the Goodwill manager and she weighed the golf balls we found out that the 'normal' price was over $22. We agreed on $9.99 for the lot.
I actually listed this as a 7-day auction with the price I was going to list it as buy it now for. We shall see if there are any bites.

Wow! That didn't take long - the pants and the board game from yesterday already sold. The other item is a Fisher Price Battery charger from day 9.
I actually messed up on the listing of the board game though. I meant to list it at $22.95 with $12.95 shipping - but I forgot to put shipping and it stayed as my default "Free Shipping"!
Ouch! That'll learn me. I'll still make a profit, but it won't be as much as if I got that extra $12.95...

You could do a really good deal with the golf balls. Collectors all over the world. Maybe better see if their of balls from old and important golf clubs. Maybe you should sell them separately!

To research each ball would take a lot of time. But I get what you are thinking and that is why I set it up as an auction. I hope that anyone interested would see the pics and the listing would hopefully get a bit of action driving the price higher.
