Beautiful memories are now just nightmares

I've felt what my family told me: that one day, paper money will be useless. Why am I saying that now? It's because it's very difficult to find food right now. Will Indonesia be even more chaotic in the next few years? The current situation is very concerning to me.

What's the point of having money if there's no food? Everyone needs their own food and finding anything is so difficult. This disaster is so extraordinary that its effects have reached the economy. Gus's cooking tank is very difficult to find, Rice is very difficult to get, Clean water is also very difficult to find, Moreover, jobs, many Indonesians have become unemployed because many jobs have collapsed, except in large companies. But they require high requirements.

What will happen to Indonesia going forward? Hopefully, everything will be fine. For example, just a few days ago, we received a fantastic amount of free money from our boss at work, but we're still having a hard time finding food outside, as several Alfamarts and minimarkets collapsed, and the goods inside were washed away by the floodwaters. We used to need money to buy food and other necessities, but now, food is paramount.

We always keep a stock of food on hand, just like when we lived in a rented house on a monthly basis. But now, we've been staying at our work office for weeks because our rented house collapsed. We'd like to take a road home, but the roads are very bad, especially with several bridges still completely collapsed.

Whatever the circumstances, we and our colleagues always have work to do, every room we clean always makes us increasingly uncomfortable to do it because the smell is really unpleasant to smell, yesterday and today we have cleaned several rooms on the ground floor. This is not an order from the boss, but we do it ourselves. Why, because as the days go by if we don't clean it, an unpleasant smell always appears on the ground floor because of the flood and rainwater that still falls in our area.

It's making us uncomfortable because the smell is so disturbing to our sleep, and that of our colleagues. There's no choice but to clean it, even if it lasts for a few days if it doesn't rain. Every time it rains, water inevitably enters the basement, as several walls in the office area have collapsed due to the flood.

Whatever happens next, we're staying here. Our colleagues and I have made arrangements for comfortable sleep. If the smell persists, we'll immediately move to another room in our office. Hopefully, the rain and extreme weather won't come again, because conditions in Indonesia are dire, especially in the city center. Many residents are asking the government for help and other countries to help.
