Forced myself to go home, but to no avail, We all desperately need networks and electricity and also food and clean water.
Hello guys. Back again with me ekasriwahyunie. I hope everything is fine with you, guys.
Today I was incredibly lucky. I couldn't find any network at all at the office. Both the internet and the electricity were completely out. Today, on my first day home from work, I headed to my rented house. I found some internet on the way, but the electricity was still completely out.
Today, my coworkers and I forced ourselves to find food outside while heading to my rented house. My friends and I walked all day, a long way because the road wasn't yet accessible by vehicle.
In the middle of the trip, I saw the condition of the building that collapsed due to the flood in our area, Jambi Indonesia. It was very unfortunate because this shophouse was one of the places where we bought food before the flood happened, but now look how destroyed it was due to the flood.
Actually, we still want to stay in the office with our work colleagues, but our economic needs are very critical, because in the office there is no more food that we can eat, we and our friends are always careful on the road because the road conditions are prohibited to pass, the road is filled with mud and logs carried by the flood current.
We must survive in this economic crisis and other adverse circumstances. Our spending money is very limited, especially now that we're unemployed and staying at our workplace. So, with so little money left, we're being very careful about buying food to last us the next few days. Hopefully, we'll receive more assistance from the local government and internationally in the future.
Floods have hit several other areas in Indonesia. In fact, Indonesia and all regions have been hit by flash floods. I kept trying to contact my family whenever I could find internet access because I was so worried about them.
In the end, we couldn't find a shop where we could buy food; everything was still closed, and some, like Alfamart and minimarkets, were destroyed. Even on this walk, my friends and I couldn't visit our rented house because the situation was still dangerous.
We saw people's homes badly damaged and collapsed, and covered in mortar. We desperately need network and electricity, as we struggle and worry without cell phone batteries and network. Secondly, we desperately need food and clean drinking water. I hope my Indonesia recovers soon.
Thank you for the enormous support, so I am very happy and very happy to receive support from @steemchiller and @realrobinhood🌸.
