I hope that my friends and I here can always face difficult things.

Hello guys. Back again with me ekasriwahyunie. I hope everything is fine with you, guys.

Last night, we celebrated the New Year simply at our accommodations at the office. My friends and I spent a lot of time in our accommodations at the office. The internet connection was very slow, and the lights went out again around 1:00 a.m. We were very sad because we could only spend time indoors with our friends.

However, last night, as New Year's approached, we all called our families back home. Luckily, my family answered my calls. Even though things weren't going well, I was very happy because last night, as New Year's approached, we could hear my family's conversations. My family in West Jambi is in a much worse situation. Access roads are still closed, electricity is always out, and my family only has internet access.

My family in West Jambi has already fled to a safer location and is staying with my mother's relative's friend. My house is still uninhabitable, covered in mud and large pieces of wood that were swept away by the floodwaters. I'm not thinking about the condition of the house or the loss of my possessions, as I'm always thinking about ensuring the safety of my family back home. My only treasure is my family.

Tonight, we were forced to move rooms to sleep with friends. The basement was flooded again due to the incessant rain. So, every time we had to change beds, our days were not so pleasant, as moving things was not easy and took a long time.

Currently we can't wash clothes, because the well water in our office is very dirty, My friends and I only wear clothes that we have worn for days, we think it's better not to wash them because the well water is dirty, it's better for us to just wear clothes for days. And we are also very united here, when friends who are one friend live, we help each other, if my friend has clean clothes, then I will lend him clothes from friends, as well as other friends, because we are always united here.

We're not rich, we don't buy packed rice every day, but the packed rice we eat is packed rice from aid. For some reason, these past few days, we've been receiving food assistance. We're so happy because fortunately we can save money without buying food. But not every day, but lately, we've been staying at our office, and in a week we've received packed rice assistance four times a week.
