Leaving the office with friends to buy a boxed meal to stave off hunger. It's a very difficult situation to describe.

Hello guys. Back again with me ekasriwahyunie. I hope everything is fine with you, guys.

I've been inactive for several days. You know, in Jambi, Indonesia, it's been raining non-stop. Even our officemates are getting really sick of sitting there because the smell is so strong. It's not the smell of corpses or anything else, but there's one room in our office that hasn't been cleaned at all, which is why it smells so bad.

We're having a hard time finding food right now, but we're not too worried anymore because I explained in yesterday's post that our boss gave us a free cash bonus because we're currently unemployed. My friends and I left the office or our accommodations today to buy food outside.

I don't know if anyone is selling food outside, as the current situation in Jambi is dire. As usual, we're going out, even though we're far away, just walking to keep ourselves from getting hungry. Besides, my friends and I have one reason: we can't stand eating inside the office because of the unpleasant smell.

We're forced to eat outside, but the city is in dire straits. It's been raining constantly, but fortunately, by the time we left, it had stopped. The streets were paralyzed, and there was no other option but to get used to making bold decisions.

After a long walk, there was a food stall that was open. We were very happy because we could buy food there. However, the bad thing was, the stall only served boxed meals. There was nothing else because the stall was flooded. Rather than starving, we bought boxed meals containing white rice and spicy snacks. We bought individual boxes of food which were sold a little higher than the previous price.

After several hours, nearly five hours out of the office, we were forced to return to the office because nighttime was about three hours away. After a simple breakfast outside, my friends and I decided to clean the smelly room, as we would have a hard time sleeping that night if the smell lingered in our bedrooms.

My friends and I worked together to clean the smelly room, without masks and wearing work clothes, as they were the only clothes left in our room. The smell was so strong, we endured it to get it done quickly. Even though the smell made us dizzy, we continued working to get it clean again.
