Staying at the work office, because the condition of the rented house completely collapsed due to the flood.
Hello guys. Back again with me ekasriwahyunie. I hope everything is fine with you, guys.
Hi guys, I'm very anxious here, because I've been at my job for almost three weeks. We were forced to stay overnight at the job site before work began. My friends and I have nothing left, only receiving food from aid. We're so anxious that work can't begin yet because the upstairs room collapsed.
Work hasn't started, and the office is still being evacuated from the building that collapsed due to the strong floodwaters. We've been forced to stay here for the last few months, possibly until 2026. My friends and I have given our boss permission to stay overnight at the job site. And our boss has given us permission to stay here until the evacuation of Jambi, Indonesia, is complete, but that could take years.
Even though we haven't received any paychecks, we've been trying to evacuate some of our belongings and data from the office. This is especially true since we don't have any work to do on a daily basis, other than evacuating the few remaining items from our office.
Road access in Jambi City, Indonesia, has not been fully evacuated, as several main access roads remain completely paralyzed. We're forced to scavenge for food from the aid sent. Some grocery stores here are still unavailable because some grocery stores in the Jambi region, Indonesia, are still undergoing repairs. Therefore, it's very difficult for us to find food, and we're relying on the food aid sent.
We obtained some of today's supplies through our hard work and co-workers. Fortunately, when the relief team arrived, we were given some extra food boxes containing cakes and rice snacks, a bottle of mineral water per person, and some cookies. This will probably last us a few hours while we wait for food supplies from other relief teams.
We're also very saddened by the frequent power outages in our area. We're just waiting for the sophisticated electricity that comes back on every hour. Hopefully, we can survive here, as our rented house has completely collapsed.
Thank you for the enormous support, so I am very happy and very happy to receive support from @steemchiller and @realrobinhood 🌸🌸.
