Unfortunately, on the 20th day we were left speechless, as our rental house completely collapsed due to the flood.
Hello guys. Back again with me ekasriwahyunie. I hope everything is fine with you, guys.
Today marks the 20th day I've been staying at my work office with my friends because we can't go back to our rented house. The house was severely damaged by the floods in Jambi, Indonesia. It's truly heartbreaking that we can no longer live there.
Yesterday morning, I received news from the landlady that the house was severely damaged by the devastating floods. My friends and I are devastated as we have to find a place to rent. So, we've decided to live at our work office. Will our boss allow this, since we don't have a place to rent?
But I think our boss will allow us to live on the second floor, given the current situation, he'll understand. That's what makes us so sad, especially since work hasn't even started yet. We desperately need money for food, and we're already unemployed, so we won't be able to move in until work starts.
My body ached so much. The aches were so intense that we rarely went out and exercised in the morning. Luckily, my friend had some medicine sachets left in her bag. But she said they had been in her bag for a long time, even before the flood.
I was forced to take the medicine my friend who lived with me gave me. I couldn't stand it anymore, my body ached so much. Even though it took a long time, I didn't care because it was so difficult to find a pharmacy out there. The Jambi area was flooded, and the streets were covered in dust. Our city hadn't finished being evacuated or cleaned up yet.
Day after day, we continue to search for necessities. I'll be honest, today we don't have a single penny. I tried to contact family in Jambi, Indonesia, but the network in some areas was completely down. Furthermore, the electricity is still out. It only lasts for a few hours, then goes out again. That's why it's so difficult for me here because the network and access to everything are still not normal.
We always hope for flood relief every day, because we don't have any money, and neither do my friends here; they don't have any money either. My housing complex provides information to family or asks for money, because our family and our friends' families are in the same position as us, because there is a greater economic crisis and daily food needs. We always hope to be strong and find solutions every day.
Thank you for the enormous support, so I am very happy and very happy to receive support from @steemchiller and @realrobinhood 🌸.
