I was watching the newest BT Sports interview with Khabib...
He looks terribly gaunt to me, not a good look this early in the fight week. All the odds play into Khabib and his team's favor, but he fighting a dangerous man in Dustin Poirier and I'd like to see a good fight with both men in tip top shape. Some say I am overthinking this, but history has a habit of repeating itself and if there's a bet to say Khabib would pull out.. I'd seriously consider those odds.
It seems many from what I have read and seen around the scene are counting Zhang out in this matchup. Although Jessica is the champ I still think she relies on pure strength and the move forward with a shit ton of pressure type gameplay, but that can be exploited as we saw with Rose until Rose didn't do what she was meant to in that slam. Her power is obviously the scariest in the division but she can be out pointed if distance is managed and her opponent doesn't fall in to the brawl mentality(it is a shame Zhang doesn't have a decent jab). She has definitely improved all aspects of her game including the ground but she has been subbed in the past. She has been over in China for a while though already and training at the PI, so acclamation should be an issue in any area.
Zhang is an interesting cat to me, she predominantly uses kicks to acquire distance but I am not sure that will work so well for her against the Female John Lineker. Weili has improved with her striking since she joined the federation but she has a tenancy to brawl at times and this will not favor well for her against the midget from hell. Her elbows in the clinch are lethal and her GnP is ruthless. The only way I can see her winning is with a sub or a close decision, but tbh I dont think this fight goes the distance. She looks in amazing shape and her prep for this fight has been outstanding but will it be enough to become China's FIRST Womens UFC champ?
Whats your predictions for this fight and any others?
I will go for the upset here and hope she gets a finish, I will admit I am a bit bias because I would like to see China get a champ just for some balance. So stats wise Zhang loses, but Lets see what happens.
BTW Kai wins his fight by dec:)..Kiwi bias but he should win lol :)
What a night of fights! I thought that Procopio vs. Rosa should have gotten FOTN, those ladies were standing and trading the whole night! Andrade's chin might be gone.. and the Leech looked like a beast out there! On to Abu Dabiiiiii next week

Last night took place UFC 243, and its outcome has led to one of the greatest revelations in middleweight history. Israel Adesanya completely dominated former champion Robert Whittaker dropping him once at the bell of the first round.. and finishing the job in the second. Many things can be said about the sub par performances of most Aussies last night, but the Kiwi's conquered.. and Izzy is the future.
Was amazing night...Brad was unreal, to even throw a punch in the last few seconds while both him and Jamie were on their knees was true fighter heart...great fights...Izzy made Rob look sub-par was actually a bit sad....yeah City doin their thing fo sho.
Are you guys as hyped about this fight as I am? I haven't seen a single boring Nate Diaz or Anthony Pettis fight. How do you think Diaz will fare after a three year absence?
