Evergreen content rewards are now possible on TokenBB where forum operators can opt to share their beneficiary rewards with topic creators, whereby topic creators will earn from every reply to their topic thread, encouraging topic creators to think of stimulating topics and keep the discussion flowing as well as reaching out externally and inviting users to participate and discuss in a thriving community. This feature is now available on https://neosteem.com and to any forum that subscribes to our premium packages.

TokenBB Delivers Evergreen Content Rewards

In the days to come, an official @TokenBB announcement will be issued by BuildTeam; however, this new feature is so amazing I could not contain my excitement and just had to write about it sooner.

This is a proud moment for me as CEO of BuildTeam, I am in awe of our amazing team, developers and CTO @reggaemuffin, truely if we can dream it, we can build it!

You may be aware that currently the Steem blockchain only allows content creators to earn once on their content, any votes issued past 7 days will not add to the rewards received by the content. This is a massive issue to get adoption from published authors and media houses.

Why would someone post their knowledge on the blockchain for a mere one time reward rather than getting royalties and repeat sales via traditional channels, or sell professional advice for subscriptions on their own website.

Steem's current model does not make sense for content creators, until now! BuildTeam has been hard at work developing the TokenBB Bulletin Board project and have now released an awesome feature where you can earn beneficiary rewards on all replies to topics that you create within the forum!

I will illustrate what I mean, recently we created the neosteem.com forum (formal announcement coming soon) to be a central place where Steem communities can come together and have flowing and structured discussion that is always discoverable. There are sections to coordinate Steem Marketing efforts as a community, discuss the latest hardforks instead of having fragmented discussion and even an Investor Relations Portal which is not prevalent anywhere else on Steem as far as I know.

By way of example, if you navigate to the Blockchain Development group and to the Hardfork Discussion subgroup you can see categories there:

At this point, you can drill down to the HF21 category and be met with a series of topics that have been created.

You will note that I have created several topics, and the SPS Inflation Funding topic has 84 views and 13 replies.

If you drill down into that topic you will see that @thesouthernwolf has replied to me and has earned $0.375 on his reply,

Also @ajayyy has replied and earned $0.088.

So when these replies pay out; I will earn 5% on each nett payout, (paid as SP powerup) pretty cool right? So as a topic creator why would I not try create more engaging and thought-provoking topics? They are way quicker to write than long Steem posts and I can curate and invite people to share my viewpoint and earn when they earn, if this isn't a network effect, I don't know what is!

There is a communities section on neosteem.com, where anyone can create a general topic or topics by interest, organisation group or language or even have a discussion about your favourite Steem radio show in the Community Speak group and earn on all engagement on your topics forever!

In the coming weeks, we will also be releasing a sports forum to showcase what is possible using TokenBB so get ready for that, here is a teaser of the header, get ready to be blown away and join a vibrant sports community:

Wouldn't it be awesome if there were many Steem forums for all types of communities, STEM sciences, art, photography, fitness, and what about a health forum where doctors earn perpetually from user engagement from topics they post with medical and nutrition advice!

Remember as a forum operator you can also earn a global beneficiary reward for all engagement in the forum. If you would like to create your own forum follow these easy steps:

  1. Visit https://tokenbb.io/pre-registration/ and request your freemium forum, it only costs 10 STEEM to setup to avoid spam forum creation.

  2. The basic forum lets run a forum for niche discussions but won't allow you to earn beneficiary rewards, nor can topic creators earn either. You will have to subscribe to any of our premium packages. For additional customisations, Gold and Platinum packages also allow you to have custom themes, domains and even your own ScotBB PoB token distribution system.

I am sending a proposal for a forum.
Happy Planet at http://environment.tokenbb.io

Hey, you forum is setup, you can go to https://environment.tokenbb.io/admin/settings I'll send you an official welcome email tomorrow.

Ok cool, sign up at https://tokenbb.io, don't forget to pay 10 Steem setup fee, some people forget.

I noticed you did not mention which Package will offer this particular option. Would you mind clarifying that? I fully intend to own a tokenbb forum.

Meanwhile, I just got goosebumps. No kidding. I cannot wait to finally get my hands posting on the sports forum. I am sure my excitement leaks over on discord as well. :D

Silver package upwards allows the forum operator to share beneficiary rewards with the topic creators, however on Silver the operator only has 5% to play with, so can basically give it all away or give 2.5% away or whatever they like to topic creators.

Hehe glad you got goosebumps over the bitsports forum, coming soon, just finalising designs.

Looks great.

But I still am confused by communities where there is both a nitrous instance and a tokenBB instance like SPT.

Is a post on https://www.splintertalk.io also viewable on https://forum.splinterlands.io/ ? Are they mutally exclusive?

Aside from the 5% override mechanic, why should I use one over the other?

Ok Nitrous has nothing to do with TokenBB forums, they are separate products, their format is different too. Nitrous is a blog, TokenBB is a forum which is for short form discussion, so unless the forum operators are importing posts into their forums, then yes generally they are mutually exclusive.

Really exciting times. Well done for all the hard work you have done. Send in registration fee and filled out the form for @naturalmedicine community. It's a start - I have a lot to learn about tokens and getting that sorted - could really do with a PA! Or at least an advisor... :)

Excellent, I saw the registration form come in. Will get our devs to set it up and let you know when ready. Really excited to have you onboard, you can ask me any questions you like. Also you can engage on our product forum https://forum.buildteam.io

Wonderful. Happy to be on board..

Great development. I keep saying that most solutions for steem are centralized or in the UI/UX. Bot every problem has to be solved in the blockchain.

You are right about that, content can always be rebuilt from the data on chain onto a new frontend. That's called soft consensus.

What a wonderful goal achieved!!

Wouldn't it be awesome if there were many Steem forums for all types of communities, STEM sciences, art, photography, fitness, and what about a health forum where doctors earn perpetually from user engagement from topics they post with medical and nutrition advice!

It would be wonderful sir! Kudos to your team, I’m always proud of Buildteam!!

My greetings to @reggaemuffin too!
