Sultan Ahmet Mosque
The Sultanahmet Mosque was built by Mehmet Aga, who came from the Sinan School by Ihmet, a 14-year-old Sultan between 1609-1616. The Sultanahmet Mosque, the Blue Mosque, the mosque that appears on the earth between 1609-1616. The Sultanahmet Mosque, which is adorned with magnificent Iznik tiles, is also called "Blue Mosque" because of its blue tiles.
Sultanahmet Mosque with the feature of being the only 6 minaret mosque in the world.It rises on its 16.5 meter high main dome,23.5 meters in diameter and its feet about 5 meters in diameter.The Blue Mosque was also spread over a very large area.
Hünkar Kasrı is used as a carpet museum today and with it the Mosaic Museum,where Byzantine palace remains are important buildings.
