I have similar thoughts on BTC and downside is looking like the more likely outcome. The larger time frame MACD is a nice add to the tool belt. I will glance at that more often.
Downside is looking very likely, I just hope that the furthest it goes is the 200MA on the weekly because if it goes further than that, DOOM is very likely...
