RE: What would you do if one day you discover a trap door in your house ?
You have an interest imagination , hoping for a trapdoor (1) and (2) hoping the trapdoor will lead to an alternate reality ! When I was child we lived in al old house in the mountains in East Africa. We had a trapdoor under the stairs which I always wanted to explore but my father always told me that it was dangerous to go in there because of poinsonous snakes, spiders and maybe the walls could collapse. In the garden of the house there was a small fortress built many years earlier to defend the house from attackers. We met an old man neighbour who told us that the trap door was the entrance to a tunnel which led to the fortress. We really wanted to explore but we were afraid of the darkness and big spiders webs we could see when the door was opened. I believe that the house is now a hotel and I would really like to visit one day to see if the tunnel is still there! Would this be your dream house?

I am the one who would call cleaners to first clean the path and take other measures so that the house doesn't collapse. Surely I shall do that when I got mature, it would not possible to have that much bravery to face all the big spiders.
You should give a chance to visit the place and see what really is there. Maybe you are not gonna find another world but life is full of surprises.
I'm not sure is that gonna be my dream house or not but I'm sure that I will explore that path.
