Bajai Life Camp 16.16: Day 467 (Food, Photography & Cars)
Bajai Life Camp 16.16: Day 467
Golden Tulip Hotel
Sunday September 16, 2018
Warsaw, Poland
25.57% hungry
I really hated to leave Golden Tulip. The room, the gym, the view, the wifi, the fridge, the tea. I never got to sample the restaurant, I was always too late. This morning I followed my usual checkout routine, including double-checking to be certain I had until noon to vacate. Then I made the walk to the Gromada hotel. It was a short walk that seemed longer under the weight of my luggage.

Gromada is not as nice, but it's closer to the action and breakfast is included. Guess I'll be having breakfast for the next two days.
I'll have to find a place in Berlin and a train (or bus)... back to Paris. I've done the bus from Madrid to Paris already and I'd do the reverse trip on Flix, should I have to be in Madrid again. Even if I don't get the gig I'll go back to Madrid, if only to fly back to north America. (And see friends.)

Sunday Funday in Poland
I haven't seen everything here of course, so I can wander around today. Not feeling like I'm missing anything by not being with the group. I think the A-Ville people try to leverage their volunteers. They tried to rope me into a weekend plus a week. But I wasn't feeling that. So I declined. Not sure I like how they operate. And, in this moment I am considering exclusivity with PI, but I will try Italy next year to see how they operate.
Currently, for my first and maybe only meal today, I am at Buddha, an Indian restaurant where I am awaiting Tandoori chicken... of course. I choose this over the lamb. I'm thinking of coming here tomorrow for the lamb, or going to the other spot for the duck. If I can locate it.

Tandoori chicken was good, but not as good as in Penang. This had a little zing to it. Impressive for a tourist area. And they had my new favorite Polish dark beer. The menu advertised half chicken... it wasn't a proper half chicken, but it was enough. Maybe what I think of as "half" is something different.
I'm still looking for an open super market. There's a convenience store around if necessary.
It's sunny and cool in Warsaw today. A great day to be a tourist. Maybe I'll wander around and be a tourist today.

Berlin is overpriced and out of my range. All my little Paris hotels are sold out... this is on a Tuesday night!! Make a note - stay out of Europe in September; unless I'm in southern Spain. What I think I'll do is randomly choose a place to go from Berlin. Or, maybe some suburb.

At this point I am ready to give Universe credit. It looks like I can ride a train from Berlin to Savona, Italy on a train and then from Savona to Barcelona on a ferry and then to Madrid... on a bus if necessary... in plenty of time to make it to the program, if necessary.
No bookings yet. Something could come up later. Also, it looks like some affordable spots in Savona as well.
It was a good day, but kind of weird. This day will return in my Abstrakt 180 series.
