I wanted to like this hostel. I wanted it to work out. Good price, can't get a better location to jump off to a Diverbo program... but I was gobbled up by chinches (bed bugs). It was so bad Wednesday night, that I can't tell if I have new bites today or not. I suspect that I do. Although I didn't see any last night, it doesn't mean that they have suddenly gone, particularly with no intervention on the part of the company. No intervention that I know of, or could detect. The chinches are likely all over the hostel. However I imagine, since getting a taste of my sweet blood, they just followed me from one bunk to the next.

I slept in blocks last night. From midnight until about 02:30 was the best. Likely all the sleep I needed up until that point. If I were more disciplined, or in my own spot, I'd have probably gotten up and done something. In reality, I would not have gone to bed as early as I did.

Group living is not for me. Hostels have yet to become my friends. Maybe both of these conditions will change in the future.

Today is the first Friday in what Colin (Yoda) has coined, "A tale of two Fridays." In an hour I'll be on a bus to La Alberca for my final program of the year. This group is even larger than the previous large group, which I cannot remember the number. Even if that one student doesn't come through, there will be 48-52 people, including our hosts.

My freekin' back is on fire from itching and scratching so much. It's day two since the first attack. I'm out of that place now, most likely never to return. But you know what we say about "never."

Speaking of which, I may return to one of those never places next weekend. And I should have my flight booked by October 1. Can't say I'm fully looking forward to being in the US.

Half way there...
Our large group gathered at the designated location. We have a young couple with us who seem inseparable and two professional writers, at least. No one has immediately caught my attention... this is a good thing. I can stay neutral, pay attention and spread myself across the personalities.

New furniture at Templarois. I feel the need to report, however the last group wasn't on this site.

Universe dangled some bait in front of me. But we shall see if I nibble. Maybe I'll dangle some bait of my own. But then again, I should stick to the plan.

I get to sleep in a bed in a room tonight.
