The Calm at Mono Lake

I shot this many many years ago with a 6x45 Medium Format Camera using Fuji Velvia 50 film. Notice the purplish and bluish hue, the film was about 6 months expired. Film is like an organic matter and has an expiration date. The older it gets the colors will start to take on different characteristics. You'll either hate it or love it.

I didn't bother with the color correction because I liked the way the film interpreted the scene. A cold morning, calm, and no wind to cause chaos anywhere.

Have you been to Mono Lake?

The water of the lake is calm, and peaceful.

I wouldn't have bother with color correction either ... but I am wild child that way. Looks like a wonderful place to be. Great shot, adonis:)

Cracking photo.
Velvia is still wonderful. You should post a photo of the slide for those who've never seen one and experienced it's magic.

Do you still use this camera//film?

Nah, it's way too expensive now and I doubt I can find Velvia 50 for sale anywhere.

though it's a very old photo, but it's still very good when I see it. not least also with super-sophisticated cameras in the present, because to produce high-quality photos. in need of expertise that is populated.

Gorgeous! I love lake scenery and sitting on shores listening to water. Thanks for sharing your other social links and the Steemit recommendation links. I'll check them out and follow you, of course.

awesome, I curated a gallery of mono lake photos on my website a while back https://www.aminus3.com/threads/beautiful-mono-lake/

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything. Anyways this is such a nice picture.
