My time in Marrakesh!

in #travel7 years ago

Morocco is a North African country in which you can experience a meld of North AfricanBerber, Arab and French culture in a city both ancient and modern. It is a magical, mysterious place with its ochre-coloured buildings and palm trees, the scooters, cars, donkeys and people. The city is one of Morocco’s biggest tourist draws.

What i experienced in Morocco;

1- The city centre
Many visitors can enjoy the city's shopping market and the city's attractions. It is filled with narrow alleys with its colourful form. You can purchase souvenirs, gifts such as babush (shoes), perfumes, spices, and the items made of leather, as well as dried fruit, nuts and their traditional dishes. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes where you can relax, enjoy their traditional meals which are full of flavour and really nutritious.

2- The Atlas mountains of North western Africa

The Atlas Mountains have long been home to some of North Africa's most remote villages.
Until a decade ago, running water and electricity were nearly unheard of, and even today are considered luxuries in most of the mountain towns. It is better than the city because in cities there's a lot of noise, cars, and pollution. But here it's nice because it's quiet and there is fresh air.

Travelling really opens up your mind as you get a better understanding and see how people around the world live, you get to see and experience their culture and background. It broadens your horizons as you connect with people from different cultures. This helps you see issues and daily life from may different angles.

Camel riding in the dessert of Marrakech

Whilst camel riding we discovered the true Morocco with the camel trek Morocco tours, got in touch with the authencity of the kingdom and the beauty of the moroccon landscapes. Something i dont really experience living in the city centre of Sydney.

Was in Vietnam for 5 years and they have small alleys (HEM in Vietnamese) too. Love the camels there. I'm from Oregon, USA. Have not been to Africa before. Great trip.

Its all so beautiful, really love travelling!
