[Travel Photo Blog]Through Awen's Lens Part 6 - The Road To Nevada

in #travel8 years ago (edited)

"Not all those who wander are lost" is a quote that's dear to my heart. I have always felt pulled to travel. To explore, discover, and experience all the colors of the universe in whichever way they present themselves. I believe that we have to step off the beaten path and seek the unknown in order to really experience this world.

Daydreaming is one of my favorite activities. The landscape we pass along our journey is an endless source of inspiration. These pictures are some of my favorites from our trek to Nevada! I hope you enjoy them :)

I've been so used the hills of Upstate, NY, that the dramatic landscape of the West constantly astounds me. There is so much variety and color. I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing mountain peaks all around me.

Trees are so sacred to me and witnessing the blackened trunks of these beautiful beings was jarring. I know one day they will be reborn again, ready to grace this plane with their wisdom once more.

I had gotten used to curvy roads after traveling through Oregon. What I'm not used to is the wonderful surprise that awaits around the bend of every curve. I never know what I will see next and it adds so much magic to our travels.

This lake reminded me so much of the ocean. I can't wait until our adventure brings us to a beach!

I've seen an abundance of animals along the way. Especially cows! They always seem so content with so much open space!

Our scenic drive brought us to the city of Reno, Nevada! Our final stop before we made it to Las Vegas! It was interesting to see such a sprawling city appear after the distant peaks and stretches of sand.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
