Yes, they do look like Stalactite and Stalagmite. Difference is these are mostly formed by wind and water erosion, which is largely a physical weathering process that modified clastic sedimentary rocks. While Stalactite and Stalagmites are chemical weathering process in subterranean caves which modified carbonate sedimentary rocks. Need any more geology? :)

I just always confuse which one is from the top and which one form the bottom of the cave.
Stalactite from top and Stalagmite from bottom :)
