Renneisance Fair - Koprivnica, Croatia - MyPictureDay Submission
Did I miss XMR and DASH train while hanging out with my parents today? Ah well… You can’t catch them all. But it was an impressive day nonetheless!
"Hear Ye, Hear Ye!"
Today I went for a short visit to Koprivnica, a small city named after a plant 'nettle leaf' (Croatian kopriva). They organise a yearly Reneissance festival. At first I thought a few swords and some wackos playing knight but it’s HUGE! Tents all over the place, different nationalities forming their fencing and sword fighting guilds. All kinds of performers, jugglers, medieval music, a veritable zoo! Even an odd damsel in distress! An experience like no other.
The city is not that far away from the capitol. Worth the ride!
Are you into Game of Thrones? You will definitely like this then! No dragons that I saw there though, but I’m sure you could find Dragon Beer around!

A specialty that they had was a nettle leaf beer! Imagine my joy! I’ll keep the suspense until the next post, but it was an immersive experience.
Hot day, too hot! I pitied the animals a bit, but they seemed well taken care of.

Ha - I could see you're having a good time. I once went to a Renaissance Festival (#British-based), and they had pasties, grog, and a Rousing good time. The dancing was fun, and the Shakespeare plays too !
In the 7th Picture, the image of the Drum .. it reminded me of a time in Missouri (US) when I attended #BRANSON MUSIC Fest.
It was 3 giant drums there; very cool indeed (if You get a chance, I'd recommend Branson/ Country music )

Whenever I hear the word renaissance, It makes me think of the knights and even in video games wherein there are appreciations of art all over the place. The scene in renaissance seems classic but elegant as well. I love their way of clothing themselves.
That really looks great :) My parents always took me to similar Festivals in Germany when I was younger but I haven´t been to one the last years unfortunately...
Funny is as well, that my parents are actually in Croatia at the very moment for some holidays :D
