Hello fellow Steemians,
I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.
The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.
Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.
There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @whimsical-magic:
This idyllic & romantic spot is to be found in the UNESCO-protected ancient city of Kutná Hora: featuring the late Gothic Cathedral of St.Barbara surrounded by its lovely gardens ~ 🥀 ~ ! The building is said to be dedicated to Virgin Barbara ~ a Christian martyr & patron of everyone who entertains a dangerous occupation, especially miners who contributed the very most to the construction of this splendid church which they naturally dedicated to their holy protectress
I rewarded @whimsical-magic entry with some extra upvote. Feel free to visit his blog and check out some of his other entries.
Thank you for your submissions. Have a great day and keep on Steeming!
Please feel free to check out some of my other recent posts.
Prague will host 4th year of popular Beer & Burger Festival

Yesterday, I was introduced to the duties of Český Krumlov, among other things. Many photos showed a view of the city and partly also the castle. I chose the castle bridge, which connects the lower and upper parts of the castle. The picture was taken from Deer Garden.
The mediaeval tower clock is located at the southern side of the Old Town Hall Tower, Prague. When the clock strikes the hour, the procession of the Twelve Apostles sets in motion.
Gothic Gargoyle, Church of St. Martin in the Wall, Old Town, Prague
Few will notice the detail for the first time. (That's why it's good to see some things more than once.)
There is a rumor that it was an evil son of a poor widow. The boy jumped on the roof of the church. The widow cursed her son and he was petrified.
The gargoyle is strange and awakens imagination...
Cesky Krumlov is one of those fabulous places you have never heard of and wish you had. Castle visit is a must. Not because the inside is so great (though it is interesting), but because the castle affords one views of what must be one of the loveliest places on earth. Really striking and charming.
Charles Bridge
One of the most beautiful bridges of the city. A romantic place, here you can take great photos for memory, admire the views, of course it is better to do it late at night, during the day many tourists.
St. Nicholas Church
Located in the "Lesser Town," this church is simply gorgeous. With its dramatic, oversized statues, the smell of frankensense, the beauty of the rose colored marble against gold leaf decor, the organ, once played by Mozart----this church is VERY SPECIAL.
Sedlec Ossuary
This was a unique experience. The church itself is not very large, but it's nice to purchase a pass to this and two other nearby cathedrals and make a day trip out of it. It was very odd being around so many bones.
The square is located outside of the city center in Praha 2, but is well connected with trams and buses, and located in front of the Church of St. Ludmila. There are usually some activities going on in the square in the weekend. Photo exhibition, someone playing the public piano, a pop-up market, tai-chi sessions, and more. Lots of benches and stairs for sitting. I like it as a nice space for relaxing close to a lot of good places to eat and drink, including a number of good coffee shops.
Cesky Krumlov is a really really beautiful place. With the river and small cobblestones streets, it is definitely worth a visit. It was a bit crowded at times, but never too bad. It's small, but still very nice to walk around and a nice place to grab lunch and some dessert after :)
The Prague Dancing Building is well located beside the river. Circling through the center of Prague will surely pass through it. The building was inaugurated in 1996, in modern style, glass and twisted concrete giving sensation of movement. Project by F. Gehry and V. Milunic, homage to Hollywood dancers, Ginger and Fred. It houses a luxury hotel, a top French restaurant and offices. You can admire the view having coffee.
