Hello fellow Steemians!

I am starting the week #71 of my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge and we are back to the continent of Asia.

If you like to participate, place your personal image from your travels in Asia in the comment section below with a short 30 to 50 word description. Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total. So far I have given out thousands of dollars in upvotes and hundreds of SBD in rewards.

After today´s Asian photo contest, the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge will be followed as per below rotation and then starting again with Asia on next Sunday.

• Monday: Australia and New Zealand
• Tuseday: Antarctica + the world’s oceans
• Wednesday: Africa

Wahiba Sands, Oman. Today I want to share with you a picture I took a few weeks ago on my travel around Oman. It shows the sunset in an absolut incredible landscape. Sitting on a dune and watching the sun go down is something very special and I only can recommend it to you to try it out when ever you got the chance to.

View on the unrestored part of the Great Wall of China from a watchtower. The Wall is completely taken over by nature and almost deserted. If you want to know more about the Great Wall join our hike:

Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is a small beautiful Island just off the coast of Bali. It´s still very traditional and not overrun by tourists. It´s a awesome place to relax and flee from the noise of Bali.

The dome of Al Majaz Park

Pretty interesting architectural details at Al Majaz Park, Sharja (United Arab Emirates). Located at main promenade along the gulf it really attracts the eye. Probably it is pretty nice to hide inside still during hotter summer days (thought honestly don't think it will help too much when it is over +40 outside).
Shot just after sunset when evening lights of area were just switched on

Enjoy the scenery!

One of the pearls of the island of Langkawi, in Malaysia: hidden beaches. Langkawi is a small island, and easy to explore if you rent a car or a scooter. In my last day there, found this amazing beach. Can't recall the name, but being far from the town centers means that we had the beach almost to ourselves... no crowds, clean sky and 30ºC water = paradise!

Here is a part of Matsuyama Castle, founded in 1603. This Japanese city is very interesting to visit. You eat well, its castle and its history are interesting, it is on the seaside, there are hot springs and moreover the view of the surrounding mountains is superb.

This is a great contrast of the old and new side of the city.

Yes it is. Japan as a good way to incorporate the new around the old.

I went to Datong in China and see this beautiful Buddha that look at me peacefully. It is the one that I have faith lately and that guide me when I need guidance.

In China you can see a lot of Buddha artifacts for the pleasure of your eyes!

I had the pleasure to spend some time in Bali, Indonesia. This is an island that appears to be inhabited by artists. Artists of the brush, wood, stone and cloth. Whilst we were there an important figure from the Balinese Royal Family died. To mark the occasion the streets of Ubud witnessed the celebration of the Royal Cremation or Ngaben. This was the progression of a tower (which took months to build) through the main street to be burnt at a locally significant place. The streets were alive with people and colour. Below is the base of that tower that went up in flames.

From the highest roof of Dhaka, the view is incredible. The scenery is almost futuristic, old buildings falling a part and new construction shining under this magnificent light. The pollution creates a fog sitting over the capital gives the final touch to this photo.

Location:Dhaka, Bangladesh.

This one end of the tunnel entrance at the Miho Museum in Japan. The museum is nestled in the mountains, and the reception and the actual museum building is linked by a tunnel that goes through the mountain. This view is looking towards the museum building before I leave the tunnel.
