Amazing Skagsanden beach in norwegian Lofoten islands offers many photographic oportunities - one side of this very long beach has amazing patterns created on the white and black sand, changing after every water flow, in other part of the beach, during low tide, we can find amazing rock formations and small ponds with sea life in them. The best thing that the camping site is just next to these beauties.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #63 - winner announcement!

@boilingchill Asian Sunday entry:

Biei - Hokkaido, Japan. One of my favourite places in the world. A quiet morning in the blue pond in Biei. The autumn colours serve as a brilliant warm curtain, a deep contrast to the cyan and turquoise mirrors of the water.

@bluebottlefilms Australian Monday entry:

This was a pretty special dive for the person on the left in the background of this photo. It was their first ever discover scuba dive and we had mantas galour circling the bombies at Lady Elliot Island. I kinda wish I had her details so I could share the photo with her.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #63 - winner announcement!

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Definitely of of the main tourists visiting locations in Egypt - Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. Located on the west bank of the Nile not far from Luxor and close to also famous Valley of Kings. Built for 18 dinasty of pharaoh Hatshepsut and considered to be one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt". Truly amazing place to visit when you see all those mountains and "hand made" piece of art made from the stones and in the stones... Enjoy the scenery :)

The Ta’ Pinu Basilica is located in the village of Gharb in the North Western Part of the Gozo - one of the Maltese islands. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Ta' Pinu. No matter what your faith is you will marvel at the wonderful serenity of this Malta’s national shrine.

Located on the Holy Spirit Square in the historic center of Krakow, the Juliusz Slowacki Theater is one of the most famous and photographed landmarks of this Polish metropolis. Designed by Jan Zawiejski, the building is also considered one of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in Poland.

I have participated several times in the Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge, but this is my first entry in the 7 World's Continents Photo Challenge.
The photo is taken during a short trip to Slovenia when we spent one day on the short trip to Mangrt and reached Italian side to visit lake Lago di Fusine. Mangrt mountain is mirroring into the lake.

Tomu říkám vydařená premiéra! :) Úžasná fotka.

Díky ;)

The purple sunset in Piazza Venezia, Rome. Piazza Venezia is located in the heart of Rome and If you want or not, you will sooner or later end up there. It’s a square where four major roads meet and it’s really noisy but you can slow down and enjoy an amazing sunset.

The famous national park in Croatia is a real beauty of nature. But avoid the main season, it can be really crowded then. Its also more fun after a rainy day ;)

Italy, Cortina d'Ampezzo. On the way to the Dolomites (the central region of the Alps) and the city of Cortina d’Ampezzo, you can enjoy the most picturesque landscapes along the way. In 1956, the Olympiad took place here. Springboard, which can be found on the road, at that time was the longest.
And just after the Olympiad crowds of tourists flooded here, and this area gradually began to turn into a comfortable ski resort.

Wilderness
The photo shows the sandy part of the SPURN peninsula in Yorkshire. There used to be a roadway, but today it has been washed away by the mighty power of water. Nowadays it can be called a tidal island, and soon it could disappear into nowhere due to the water levels rising every year. I wanted to express the wilderness of the scene leaving only brownish and blue colours to reflect on the devastating changes. The single trunk of a tree in the foreground is one of the so many objects that lie around on the peninsula.

Here's a pair of armed soldiers outside the Louvre Museum in Paris. I love the candid catch of the young men. This was taken in April of 2006. During which time there had been some youth protests and riots due to a controversial labour bill being passed. I'm assuming that's why they had the extra security out front unless that's how the museum entrance normally looks? The whole city had extra police and guards during our trip.

Cyprus dream

Great memories from vacations at Northern Cyprus few years ago. Amazing sunrise at the coastline near the hotel. Basically the coastline is very rocky with only some short sand beaches like you can see here down below. But this lagoon is just amazing for swimming.

So as usual, early morning and when everybody still sleeping some crazy photographers are catching some amazing views

Enjoy it!

The iron lady! Built for a universal exhibition and meant to be dismantled right after, it still standing today and is the most visited monument in the world. I tend to forget about but everytime I drive pass by it, I'm amazed by the monument :)
