7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #49 - winner announcement!

@axeman Asian Sunday entry:

Having general bus tourist trip around the Dubai one day, that wasn't really too much time to spend at the observation deck of famous Burj Khalifa, maybe some 30 mins only. And was quite lucky by this time to have a scheduled performance of also famous Burj Khalifa dancing fountains and to see it from very unusual point of view - from almost 500 meters top. So here we have the smiling city warmly welcoming the tourists from all over the world. Enjoy it!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #49 - winner announcement!

@derangedvisions African Wednesday entry:

It has been a while since I entered anything in African Wednesday. The series I shot of these three farm boys while I was in Tanzania turned out to be some of my favorite shots of the time I spent there. I was on my way in to a Maasai church and these boys came down the path to see us. After I got some shots of them, they followed me into the church and we played some games during the service and I almost got them beat by some of the village elders because they were being disruptive.

When I look through my photos from South America I'm always drawn back to Rio de Janeiro. It's by far my favorite city in South America. I don't know if it's the fun beaches, or the sugarloaf mountains surrounding them, but arriving here always puts a smile on my face. I took this photo during my visit in 2015 walking around a marina. If you look closely you can see Christ the Redeemer in the background!

Andes, Ecuador

The Andes are a spectacular mountain range, but only its highest peaks are covered in snow. In fact, there are settlements located at over 5000m since the temperatures are quite warm due to the proximity to the equator!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Love the colors! Fabulous.

A sunset in the central coast of Venezuela, at Vargas state, near Caracas. The mountain range, the most northern part of Los Andes**, ends up on the sea, forming different bays. In the image it can be seen the different layers of mountains all the way .

Thank you so much for your participation and this wonderful entry. Kindly stay tuned for the winner announcement coming later on today.

SUNSET AT THE BEACH OF SAN LUIS WITH BOAT

Puerto c.jpg

In this beautiful urban beach it is more extensive of the state Sucre, where you can contemplate one of the most beautiful sunsets and it is one of the most extensive of littoral, ready for the enjoyment of the bathers. The tourist can swim, practice water sports or recreate with its calm waters and white sands. The beach is located in front of the Cariaco Trench, in the entrance to the city of Cumaná, coming by vehicle from Anzoátegui. In it there are magnificent restaurants that sell typical foods, mainly dishes based on seafood.

Stunning sunset, one could stare at it for hours if possible.

Yes Tomás, wonderful details that mother nature gives us to enjoy them every time and each one better than the other

The emerald lagoon belongs to the Sierra Nevada National Park, of the Andes Mountain Range of the State of Merida, Venezuela. It is a beautiful lagoon with emerald green tones that match the bases of the mountains that surround it. This lagoon is of glacial origin and one of the most beautiful in all of Venezuela because of the characteristic green color that invades the senses and invites you to discover these extraordinary natural landscapes.

Looks amazing! What a wonderful piece of nature....

The other day I posted here the picture of the Peito do Pombo Stone. Today I come to bring the view of before sunrise from the summit. From this time it is included to see several beaches of the coast, of Rio de Janeiro: Macaé, Rio das Ostras, Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo e Armação dos Búzios, the Carioca Caribe.10326_n.jpg

It sure is well worth it to wake up for a sunrise like this. Stunning!

Thank you so much! I need to start taking new and better photos if you ever want to win! kisses

Sunset from home, this beautiful red sky that seems to be on fire, I captured yesterday afternoon from the front of my house on the beautiful Margarita island Venezuela, although from this part of the island it is usual to see this type of sunsets today I wanted share it in this weekly photography challenge. This picture was taken with my Samsung s4 cell phone.

What a beautiful sky! Well done.

This photograph is a little trip, from a trip I made in my country, almost 24 hours from my city, to visit one of the oldest places in the world, since it has rocks that belong to the Pre Cambrico period. It is really old. This is known as the Gran Sabana or Canaima, where there are some beautiful highlands called "tepuyes". These "tepuyes" are those that have millions and millions of years. It is believed that this part of Venezuela was united with Africa when there was only one continent, called "Pange". This is said by the geographic similarity with some points of Africa, the similar rocks and some fossils found in this area, of extinct animals that were only located in Africa.

What an interesting entry with some great information. Thank you so much. Have a wonderful Sunday.

Today I want to show you another shot of one of the most beautiful sunsets that I have been able to contemplate after a rainy day. The same place, different perspective: San Antonio del Golfo - Sucre State (Venezuela). Nature can surprise us every day with these wonders, one of the best pleasures.

Love those colors. Wonderful!

Autumn in Tierra del Fuego is a mix of yellow and reds, built in to stunning backdrops of mountains and glaciers. This photo was taken at the Marital Glacier that sits up above the city of Ushuaia in southern Argentina.
