Driving in Mississippi

I was working on a DENNYS RESTAURANT in Starkville and also in Greenville , about 120 miles west , Mississippi is amazeing , I saw for the first time huge fields of late summer cotton . I mean , they were really big , I didn't recognize it as cotton at first , I grew up in Las Vegas and had never been to Mi. or seen the fields as they were that day , in full bloom , with a purple hue and white shades . But driving by at 60 mph it was hard to be sure . When I got the chance to ask a local if what I had seen was indeed cotton he said It was cotton . I couldnt stop thinking about the people who worked these fields by hand , they seemed to go for miles upon miles in every direction . Of course you can't go to Mississippi and not touch the mighty Mississippi River , I was new in the area and wasnt sure exactly when or where or if I would even get a chance .
Made it to Greenville . Got a cheep hotel and continued on my construstion mission to deliver drywall and framing supplies I had picked up the day before in Nashville . They said a truckload , turned out to be 11,000 lbs , about 1000 over the axel rating . That is another story .
So back in Greenville , I met The General Contractor BILL and Owner of the DENNYS , They were happy to see me with the precious cargo that had been deliver to the wrong city , hence the Uhaul . We all went to dinner ata local recomended Steak House , 3 restauranteurs , what we came to was just an old house in a local neighborhood that had been converted to a restaurant , and the kitchen was sort of makeshift in the middle of what probably was the kitchen with the wall that once had sepparated it from the living room removed creating a great room of all the activity you can expect on friday night out .It was awsome , loud , lots of movement and conversation and laughter . A quick look around I see beautiful people , some drinks , wine beer. This is gonna be fun .
We sit in the back no doubt used to be a bedroom , all kinds of extension cords , missmatched diner tables and chairs , NO MENU
