I've decided where to go! ๐๐ป๐ณ๐ฐ๐ญ
If you have been following me, you will see from this post Holidays are coming ๐ I wanted to go on an adventure for Tet Holiday (aka Lunar New Year).
With so many choices, I have decided to combine a few different places.
I'll leave on Sunday or Monday and spend about five days exploring the Mekong Delta, which is south of Ho Chi Minh City.
Then I'll cross over to Cambodia and spend at least a few days along the coast visiting the island of Koh Rong. I may travel north into Cambodia, but I doubt it.
When I return to Vietnam, I'll drive to Da Lat in the Southern Highlands before returning to Ho Chi Minh City ready to start work again.
It should take two weeks in all to complete. Glad to have finalised everything. But being an explorer, I'm sure things will change along the way.
I'll try to share a post on Steemit Daily, all dependant on time and internet. I've not used Instagram Stories for a while so probably use that again. You can follow if you like instagram.com/curious.asia
Can't wait to share the journey with you!
Keep it real
Derek

The Kep/Kampot area was a lot more enjoyable than Koh Rong in my experience. You'll probably be tired of motorbiking, but there are some nice day-trips out of Kampot. There was also a bar in Kampot that sold bags of weed if you're into that sort of thing.
Koh Rong was a Spring Break type of place with lots of loud, drunk, young people. Koh Rong Sanloem was cool for photos, but the beach with no electricity or internet gets boring pretty fast. Sihanouk just seemed like a place for perverts.
From what I've found, the border between Vietnam and Cambodia shouldn't be a problem with a Vietnamese bike.
Have fun out there!
Cheers for the advice. I may just change my plans. I'm in Can Tho right now, a bit tired from biking. Been a while since I did anything long distance.
Rodger that on Sihanouk. I heard that before, greepy bastards everywhere. Staying well clear!
Koh Rong Sanloem is where I'd planned to go. I think that will be ok for a few days. Cheers for the link, very helpful.
wow, wish you have a nice trip and keep your health bro!
Thanks mate :)
Your welcome. Enjoy my Steemit if you have free time, bro!
Woohoo! I look forward to reading about your journey.
Cheer mate!
Finally! It's seems like a good route to enjoy riding on your motorcycle and one we are excited to hear about as that part of Vietnam and Cambodia is unknown to us too! Safe travels!
It's mainly all flat around the Delta, with a few mountains thrown in at the Cambodian border. Should be fun!
Sounds like it would be fun and two weeks is enough time to take it at your own pace. We felt a bit rushed (at times) when reflecting about our HK trip.
