Put in bay

My adventures to Put In Bay. while I have been sailing for many years now, it always have been under the supervision of others. For the first time I would be completely responsible for the safety of 7 people. So I pulled out the charts and began my study of the waters we would travel. I checked the weather, thumbs up.
Our destination, Put in Bay
We would travel through the river and across Lake Erie, a 4 hour boat ride. We were on a twin screw, 33 foot cabin cruiser. We were a bit overloaded. Now I would have preferred we left out earlier, but we would not depart until 6 pm. It was summer so sunset was 9 @pm. We made it through the river in the day light, thank God, because there were many twist and turns. Many buoys to look out for. We got right in the middle of the lake, and pitch black dark, the waves picked up and it got a little rough. The light house was bright , and guided us right on in. We made it. Party on!
The boats were packed in. We squeezed right in. They were partying hard, the minute we hit the dock. What happens in Put In Bay, stays in Put in Bay. We made it back safely, great trip.
