Shuiskoye. Common features

in #travel5 years ago

Shuiskoye is a village in the Vologda Oblast of Russia, the administrative center of the Mezhdurechensky district and Sukhonsky rural settlement. Founded in the 13th century, the first records date back to 1627. Located on the right bank of the Sukhona River, between the mouths of its two tributaries - Shuia and Sheybukhta.

The village has a secondary school, a kindergarten, a center for children's creativity, a youth sports school for children, an art school for children, a regional hospital, a pharmacy, a social services center, a center for social assistance to families and children, a nursing home for the elderly, a cultural center, a museum, shops , dining room, cafe, market, post office, bus station.

The village of Shuiskoye has retained its old spirit. Wooden houses stand in a dense string along the river bank.

Housing fond is predominantly wooden. Each house has its main attribute - a boat. This is due to the developed river system in the village.

Places like Shuiskoye should be visited in good light and in a beautiful season. On a frosty sunny day or in summer at sunset, the atmosphere of this settlement will manifest itself fully.

Snow-white minimalist scenes are more suitable for the same cold and soulless stone high-rise buildings. There is a suspension bridge at the confluence of the Shuia River into Sukhona.

On the opposite bank is the second small part of the village. Communication between the shores is boat or ferry. In winter, the ice crossing is frozen. But this winter, due to an unstable weather, the message is completely broken. The ice cover is weakened, ice shifts were observed. Even on foot to get to the other side is not possible.

In the upper reaches the Sukhona river is very small, but it is still a natural obstacle to overcome. More recently, livestock farms stood in this place, but were demolished.

There was a huge wasteland. Now the suspension bridge looks alien to this area, as if it leads to nowhere.

When I was at Sukhon, there was another movement of ice.

And I really wanted to visit the oldest part of the Shuiskoye village... Apparently, not this time.

Not a single road leads to the opposite side of the Sukhona River.

Residents very actively use small boats - the coast is simply strewn with boats!

There is also a road bridge across Shuia in the village of Shuiskoye.

Apparently, the ice is much stronger here. Otherwise, the fishermen would not be sitting in the middle of the river.

I'd like to visit here during the ice drift. In principle, I want to see the ice drift somewhere else, except the Veliky Ustyug.

I have not seen such tuning ever! Wheels correspond to local off-road realities.

Since there is a bridge over Shuia, you need to visit this part of the village. The oldest houses are on the shore.

And here is the most comfortable street in the village.

Such ancient places delight with their atmosphere even in bad weather. For a long time I have not visited similar places. Although there is nothing similar, Shuiskoye is unique!

Interestingly, along the coastal street you can walk only on foot.

It seems to me that places where there is a river should be visited in the snowless season.

Otherwise, it will be difficult to feel the full potential, all the charm of the river system and related objects.

It seems to me that it will not be difficult to return here again - from the regional center Shuiskoye is only a hundred kilometers away.

It seems that civilization is not far away, but Shuiskoye was ignored by plastic construction technologies. This is an attractive village.

If the house is completely new and modern, then the whole. And if it’s old, then it’s whole old! There are no outbuildings or double-glazed windows in log houses.

I do not exclude it completely, it’s just that it’s not enough.

To be continued..
