The Municipality of L'Escala: Sant Martí d'Empúries will welcome the entire Musk family next June to celebrate the wedding of Kimbal Musk (brother of Elon Musk, owner of Tesla Motors). This information was confirmed by the mayor of the municipality, Víctor Puga, in the program Canal 10 Empordà Direct Line.

So I went to the site of Sant Martí d'Empúries and show you why Kimbal Musk was right to choose Sant Martí d'Empúries to get married!

The Musk family has requested the closure of the entire core of Sant Martí d'Empúries and the booking of several restaurants in their entirety, such as the Molí de l'Escala and El Mesón del Conde.
They also booked all the rooms at Hostal Empúries to accommodate the wedding guests.

According to Ràdio l'Escala (the local radio), the guests of this wedding would be from three hundred to five hundred and should stay in the municipality between three and five days.

Sant Martí d'Empúries is a dependent district of L'Escala on the Costa Brava in Spain. It is a beautiful little medieval village has also been one of the most important ports of the Mediterranean. Sant Martí d'Empúries has always been inhabited and today has about fifty inhabitants.

The church of Sant Martí was built in 1538.

Here is the forest house, built in the modernist style and the current headquarters of the Iberia Graeca Foundation.

Just opposite are the ruins of the old castle, which inspired Victor Mora, creator of the comic Capitán Trueno (Captain Thunder), to make it the home of his hero.

It's nice to explore the narrow streets of Sant Martí. In the main square, facing the church, there are several restaurants that serve interesting gourmet dishes with fresh local produce.

After visiting the city, I recommend walking along the Passeig d'Empúries, which connects Sant Martí to the city of L'Escala. This is where you can see the hotel that the Musk family has reserved for Kimbal Musk's wedding.
