Aragua es una extension de tierra localizada al centro norte costero de Venezuela, su capital es la ciudad de Maracay, posee una población estimada para el año 2015 de 2.475.689 de habitantes según el Instituto Nacional de Estadística,tiene localidades que son de gran atractivo turístico para el país como lo son: Cata, Chuao, Choroní, Ocumare de la Costa, Cuyagua y la Colonia Tovar.
El nombre del estado proviene de un vocablo indígena de origen cumanagoto (caribe) con que se denomina al chaguaramo, un tipo de palma de la región. Ese mismo inspiró el nombre del río Aragua, importante tributario del lago de Valencia, ciudad vecina con la que delimita la capital de Carabobo.

Como les habia mencionado, Aragua delimita con gran parte de costas que abren paso hacia el mar Caribe, algunas secretas para las grandes multitudes que en temporada las visitan, algunas demasiado inhóspitas e inaccesibles, Pero sin duda uno de mis lugares favoritos podria ser " El dique", el dique es una represa que guarda aguas de diferentes rios, y que se encuentra en la carretera casi llegando a Choroni, lugar turístico donde se puede acceder a el resto de playas al tomar una lancha en su puerto de Playa Grande.

Chuao:

Famous for 400 years of native cocoa (Theobroma cacao), which is the species that produces the highest quality cocoa seed in the world and is at risk of extinction. Atravesado por el río Chuao, la parroquia de Chuao está ubicada en un profundo valle de la cuenca del río, entre las poblaciones de Choroní y Maya. El pueblo es el corazón de los 160 km2 de superficie de la parroquia, el cual se encuentra a 6 kilómetros del mar Caribe, accesible por carretera de concreto, a donde también desemboca el río. No existen carreteras que conduzcan a Chuao, las dos únicas vías son por mar desde Choroní por el oeste o atravesando las montañas que rodean el picacho de Turmero hacia Pico El Cenizo o Topo El Guayabo en el Parque nacional Henri Pittier por la famosa ruta del cacao que consta de caminos de recuas o viejos senderos de herradura que permanecen transitables a pie y conducen a Guayabita y Trincherón, suburbios de Turmero vía El Paraíso, Sabaneta y Cepe.

Tiene una playa que posee un fuerte oleaje donde se practica surf y bodyboard. en una direccion completamente diferente a la de Chuao, la playa de Cuyagua es una de mis rutas por carretera favoritas, ya que cuenta con un micro clima en donde la neblina cobre gran parte del camino.

Y finalmente les hablare de mi favorita, pero es tambien la mas dificil de acceder ya que es peligroso el camino, se llama la cienaga

It is hard to reach becouse of the rocks after 6 oclock when the waves start to rise up it is better not to crose this part since many lives have been taken by the fury of the sea, but if you do it with good waether theres no problem and you will reach "La cienaga" one of the most beautifull places ive seen ever.

Es dificil de alcanzar debido a las pierdas, pero luego de las 6 la marea empieza a subir, es mejor no cruzar esta parte luego de esa hora, muchas vidas se han perdido gracias a la furia del mar, pero si la cruzas con buen tiempo no deberia haber ningun problema y lograras llegar a la Cienaga, uno de los lugares mas hermosos que he visto

Una vez de vuelta en Maracay si queremos un ambiente un poco mas frio podemos ir hacia la famosa " Colonia tovar"
La Colonia Tovar es una ciudad de Venezuela, capital del municipio Tovar, en el estado Aragua. Fundada en 1843 por un grupo de inmigrantes provenientes del entonces independiente estado de Baden (luego incorporado a Alemania) e inmigrantes holandeses. Se caracteriza por mantener la impronta cultural de su origen, por lo que es llamada «la Alemania del Caribe» o «El pueblo alemán de Venezuela». Es famosa por su cultura, por su clima templado y por la cordialidad de su gente. Depende básicamente de la agricultura —donde destacan cultivos de clima templado como duraznos, fresas, remolacha, coliflor, zanahoria, repollo, acelga, brócoli, lechuga, cebollín y papas— y del turismo.
