Getting lost in... Lake Havasu, Arizona

Over the weekend, I visited Arizona for the first time ever! I also went on one of the hottest weekends. The temperatures were high, like 120F high. This trip was spontaneous. I packed my bags two hours before heading out to Lake Havasu. From Los Angeles to Arizona took about five hours. We drove throughout the night, so it wasn't terrible. I spent a full day Saturday and half day Sunday there before driving back home.
On this trip, I learned how to paddle board. I thought it was an amazing experience since I don't do anything water sports related. The people at the channels are the nicest people ever. The lady three boats down offered their board to let us use. I've never paddle boarded in my life before, and she pretty much gave me the crash course and helped me up. I get on and I was going through the channel. Always remember to wear a life vest going through the middle because I heard the fine for not wearing one is expensive. As for me, I can't swim anyways, so I get a life vest forever. And yay for not falling off!
I do a lot of yoga for fun, and decided hey let's strike a pose on the board. Keep in mind this is my first time on the paddle board. Who knew my wrists were stronger than my legs! To be honest, the board shakes a lot and balancing weight with your legs or hands takes a lot of strength. It was really tough, I have no idea how people do yoga on this board. Props to you yogis! You inspire me!
This is the London Bridge at Lake Havasu. Prior to this picture, we woke up and got the boat ready to explore the channel. The channel was pretty much the other side of this bridge. You would think a boat ride would be nice and cool. But no, it was so hot it felt like razor blades cutting through your skin since the air was so dry and the heat was so intense. When we stopped at the channel, we all jumped into the water and had a beer.
I pretty much played in the channel for both days and had an amazing time. I would recommend going, but I probably wouldn't go when the weather is 120F again. I feel like if it was cooler, it would definitely be better.

I like this post! Oh man, were you doing a crow pose? I can imagine it being quite difficult doing that on the water and all. It's fun reading about adventures to places I never been to. Thanks for posting and I look forward to seeing more places you got lost in!
Crow pose on the board was really challenging! It took a few tries, but worth it. More posts to come!

I love lake havasu!!! It's a big party out in the lake... take a boat around and you'll run across random beer pong games, cliff jumping, and lots of party people!!!! I try to go every summer if I can but now that I'm much older... my friends rather void the heat. 😝
