Probably This Is One Of The Most Impressive Flights I Have Operated To Delhi, India in These 6 Years...

Well, I get two week standby and I actually don't know where I am flying to. Just need to stay at home, get myself ready and wait for company's call. So I got 3 day pattern Delhi flight. Um.. let say it in a fair way : Many crews do not like Indian flights because it always has medical cases, flight delay or technical problems. I'm not kidding.

Bad thing did happen. When most of the passengers got on board and we still waited for some passengers from tight connection from Vancouver, suddenly there was an old Indian man collapsed at his seat, then had epilepsy and then was unconscious. We paged doctor on board and looked for ground staff assist us. The Indian doctor saved him by some treatment and finally he had sign of life. That was a mess in the cabin you have no idea. For sure it made me realize how the people from this nationality function . Anyway at the end inflight manager and captain decided to offload him for safety reasons. Flying from HK to Delhi still takes 6 hours which is not an old man can stand after 14 hours long haul flight sitting in Economy class from Vancouver. But I will never forget how he looked into my eyes and tried to say thank you to us for saving him..

Other thing we concern is the hotel we stay. Our company always knows what they're doing for saving budget. Changing hotel from time to time actually is quite annoying for us. But this time the hotel surprised me. instead of staying in the city, we stay at airport 5 star hotel which is called Andaz Delhi-a concept by Hyatt.

Why I want to show you this hotel is it makes me feel like I am not in India. The hotel is modern and the design of the room is quite westernized. The facilities here are maintained very well and nicely. This morning I had breakfast with my colleagues downstairs makes me fall in love with this hotel. The restaurant called Annamaya provides discounted buffet breakfast for us.

From what the staff said, the food here is from local organic farms. So far the choices of the dishes are vegetarian and plant based. Fruits and greens are so fresh you can tell when putting them in your mouth. The staff also told us the owner of Annamaya tries their best to help the indigenous neighborhood through menus revolving around locally sourced organic artisanal products, for they must be made in India and empower people and places.

There are many choices of whole fruit instead of just placing the cut fruit. Not many hotel doing this for the guests. I love the green fresh figs here (I'm a big fan of figs:D) that impressed me a lot.

I quite like some Indian food like Masala dosa. I think my tummy is so used to different food in different countries. I don't really get stomach problem because of food.How lucky I am:P

I don't eat dairy products so sometimes it's headache for me if I wanna have some cereal with nuts. They have almond milk here for vegetarian. I LOVE IT:D

Ahhh! Don't forget to try Masala tea in India. I love tea so much and this is a nice one to try, but remember with no sugar! So far I feel so good after the nice breakfast and later gonna try the gym room in the great hotel. Finally I have something to look forward to when I fly to Delhi! Happy :D No expectation always brings us so many surprises :)
