My First & Most Memorable Travel Experience
We all know the importance of traveling. Traveling can help a person to be open minded.. taking a break from your daily life and simply getting out from your comfort zone.
I love travelling, but it hasn’t always been my passion. It all started when my husband was scrolling through his Facebook page and saw AirAsia was having their usual seasonal promotions. Without hesitation, we booked a flight to Phuket, Thailand within the same week :D
About Phuket
- Thailand’s biggest island
- World’s finest beach destinations
- Hundreds of hotels to choose from
- Wide choice of dining and partying options
- Tsunami struck on 2004
For today’s post, please allow me to share my memorable time and experience in Phuket, Thailand.
Day 1
The connecting flights from BKI-KUL-HKT seems forever for me but as soon as we landed in HKT (Phuket), i was refreshed and already jumping. I just couldn’t believe we made it!
Here we are Phuket International Airport!
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our driver (sorry i can’t remember his Thai’s name) and drove us to Amici Miei Hotel for check in. It was already night time when we reached our hotel.
It was so sweet of them to decorate our room. This trip was actually meant for our 10th years wedding anniversary. :)
We freshen up, rest and went down to hunt a place for dinner.
We had our dinner at Club Tiger, Patong
Tiger Disco is a huge entertainment complex located on Patong Beach’s infamous Bangla Road
Our dinner hehe..
Live band
We wanted to explore more so after dinner, we continued our walk to the nearby interesting places.
Bangla Boxing Stadium, famous Muay Thai Arena
Day 2
Today, we had breakfast in our room due to the heavy rain. By the time the rain stopped, it was already night time and without wasting anymore of our precious time, we headed to Phuket night market which is about 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
Some of the foods at the market stalls
Phuket market is of course like any other night markets. However for me i can say Phuket market has more varieties of food and is very cheap!
Unfortunately, it started to rain again and to avoid disappointment we decided to pamper ourselves..
Walaaa..heaven haha..we bought these babies from 7-eleven which is just across our hotel.
I think i'll end my part 1 here for today, no worries i'll share more in my next post! :D
Till then, stay tuned and thank you for reading my post :)
Travel is important because it fundamentally transforms us. This experience of waking up to the power of your own transformation fires you up to “be the change you want to see in the world,” - Gandhi
Happy 10th wedding anniversary to you both.
