Fuling Mausoleum #3 Squre City 方城
In my previous post, I shared with you some pictures of Fuling Tomb. If you miss it , you can click #1 #2
The Fuling Tomb of the Qing Dynasty was the mausoleum of Nu'erhachi(Emperor Taizu) and Empress Xiaoci Yehenala. As it is situated in the eastern suburbs of the old city of Shenyang, it is popularly called the East Tomb. It was buit in the 1629 in the reign of Emperor Tiancong of Late Jin Dynasty.
We passed by Fruits House, Vessels House and Tea House, which were used to store sacrificial offerings. And then we came to the Square City, which is the main architechtrues of Fuling Tomb. All around it was made by some grey stone and there are four pavillions standing on each corner.
The following is Long'en Gate, which is the South Gate of Square City, and it is also called Wufeng building. And it is three-storey building. It looks magnificent! Although it has weathered much wind and rain, it is still beautiful.
The bolt is on the outside.
We entered it through the Long'en Gate. The middle building is Long'en Hall, and there are Eastern Side Hall and Western Side Hall on both sides of it.
The palace roof was made by glazed golden tiles, shimmering in the sunlight. The pole are red.
The carved beams and painted rafters-a richly omamented building. All these look a beautiful picture.
Intricate carvings in jade and marble fill these steps and tell stories about ancient Chinese history.
As the first imperial mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty, Fuling Tomb basically inherited the mausoleum system of the Ming Dynasty, its architectures reflected the characteristic of Manchu Nationality and local style. It was a unique imperial mausoleum architectural complex.
That's all for today. Next time there are more beautiful pictues to share with you, hope you enjoy it.
