Amsterdam Walkthrough
Yesterday, after Blockchain expo had ended I decided to walk my way back to the hotel.
There was a huge park that I came across. It's called Vondel park.
I would characterize Amsterdam as vintage. All the building are the ones that stood there for hundreds of years. Not much modern buildings at least at the places I visited .
Many canals where people would take boats and cruize.
Many churches ...
And other buildings with distinctive architecture.
It seems that NSFW is huge part of Amsterdam culture.
A very interesting monument that I don't know what stands for.
I never liked the concept of wax statues but this building is impressive.
You can also find street performers. Those guys were amazing. The best street performance I've ever heard.
The closest I got to cannabis. Very sweet and tasty chocolate that managed to raise my blood sugar to the roof. Didn't expect anything else.
And last I did a walk on the Red Light District. By far the most touristy of the areas I visited.
It is full of cafes , restaurants , bars . A couple of erotic themed museums and few strip clubs. The prostitutes are in their compartments and they are just a part of the scenery. I am sure that if one day they decide to stop appearing no one will take notice or really care.
After a long walk , I returned to my magnificent one star hotel , got some sleep and today I am ready for the second of the expo.
Be healthy , Smile and Steem on!
what a awesome nature! it was best place for travel! i hope you will enjoy your travel!
thank you very much :)
welcome dear
I haven't seen many vintage buildings here in Australia anymore but the city has a few. Amsterdam looks lovely, would be nice to visit there.
I am sure there are many beautiful buildings in Australia.
The center of Amsterdam is like vintage in its total. You got a fair impressin of the city center I guess from during the day. No bicycles killed ya? :D
Thats is what a lot of people say when they are here for the first time, that there are so many people of bikes coming from all directions hahaa.
Amsterdam by night is also beautiful with all the lights and the canals together
Actually , I got away with my life a couple of times. :)
I believe, in an event of a collision with a bicycle the person riding it will be more damaged.
Κέρδισες κάνα τζοκερ και δε μας το λες? ζωαρα λεμεεεεε! :)
το βλεπω σαν επενδυση στον εαυτο μου. :)
I'm very glad that you enjoy such an amazing journey! And why not afford, for complete happiness, sometimes, a "small piece" of excellent chocolate?
To be honest I ate the whole thing at once... But I walked a lot ... :)
Honestly, I have chocolate, it also disappears very quickly and unnoticed, regardless of its size!
You are so right !
Aaaahhh.... nostalgic (just a little) for my Motherland. Lovely post, Ilias. x
thank you :)
Excellent walk in Amsterdam! When I was there, I learned that the city has two faces. I had to look around the red light district at night. I was very frightened when I saw these not young women. I held fast to my husband ))) he still laughs when he remembers it. And yet, there is everywhere the smell of grass, walking the streets, you get this smell for free )))
In the afternoon the city turned out to be quite different - nice, cozy and hospitable.
yes , in Amsterdam you become passive pothead :)
Yes))) your post reminded me of interesting stories that happened to me while traveling to Amsterdam) I will make a post about it. Thank you!
that would be great. I have a lot of material from Amsterdam.
I'll read, it's interesting. I lived in a hotel on a ship in Amsterdam )
