"Be part of the Energy" is Calgary's slogan and they couldn't have picked a better one.

Calgary is full of endless activities to do, ranging from unique arts to floating down the river. This beautiful city in Alberta has industry and recreation in great balance. Enriched with culture and events, I doubt you will run out of things to do. It is a well known city in Canada and I'm here to tell you some of the best parts of it.

Culture is the collective outcome of the people living here which results in exceptional arts. Calgary is a very art-enriched city, offering many pieces across downtown and centers for viewing art or listening to it. Boasting numerous galleries and theatrics, if visual candy is your style you won't be leaving with a frown. The architecture of the city itself portrays creativity and be sure to check out the "peace bridge" for a true spectacle.

If art isn't your thing, then you'll be satisfied with the countless cafe's, restaurants and pubs. Although the entire city has excellent options everywhere, there's a few well known streets to wander. 17th Avenue and 8th Avenue (Stephen Ave) are where you will find most people enjoying a nice cup of joe or dinner. Entertainment is never in short supply either. Plenty of events are happening city-wide and if you come in early July, then the Calgary Stampede is a must do.

The Calgary Stampede is considered "The greatest out-door show on Earth" and is tightly bonded with the culture here. Expect to see many well-known musicians having concerts at this large event, with it's multiple stages and buildings. In between sessions there are plenty of amusement rides and places to socialize. However, most will come to see the well-known "Calgary Stampede Rodeo" and will surely not leave disappointed.

Furthermore, Calgary is also a very active city. There are pathways and trails all over the city, with parks just as substantial. Fish Creek park, Nose Hill park and Princes Island park are to name a few. We all enjoy being next to water and Calgary has two main rivers to offer. (The "Bow" and the "Elbow"). If you fancy a float, then you can't go wrong with the Bow River. Most people start their river float at Edworthy Park and finish before Inglewood. There's no better feeling than going with the flow on a hot summer day.

Whether you come for the culture, entertainment, or nature; You won't be disappointed.
