That's so cool! I wish I spoke fluent Spanish! I took it in high school and actually really enjoyed it but it's been a few years. I'll definitely take a few courses before heading to South America! :-)
I took spanish for 6 years in public school and hated every minute and almost failed it one year. I forgot everything and it was over 10 years later until I came to Ecuador. Totally different experience learning it through cultural immersion. 100% better way to learn a language. I'd recommend not even taking a course. Just making some friends and sharing languages over a several month period.
