The Abu Simbel Temples are two temples of ancient Egypt and dug in the rock located near Abu Simbel in southern Egypt that are classified as world heritage by UNESCO. Here is a look at the Big Temple of Abu Simbel.
Built by Pharaoh Ramses II to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Qadesh, they were intended for his worship of Egyptian gods and his wife Nefertari.
