Let me introduce you to the emblematic church of the city of Trancoso, state of Bahia in Brazil.

The "Church of the Square" is known and affectionately called by many visitors and residents of Trancoso.

In fact it is a Catholic Church, having as its main patron Saint John the Baptist, preacher of the Word of God and cousin
of Jesus.

According to historians and testimony of former residents, this church has its origins in the XVII / XVIII centuries and format that go back to the evangelizing work of the Jesuit priests in the region since the early days of the discovery of Brazil.

Behind is the belvedere with sea view.

The most charming and touristy place in the city.
